CityWide celebrates 10 years of Community action on drugs

11 May 2005

Many thanks to all groups, projects and individuals that helped make our 10th anniversary in May 2005 such a success.

In the lead-up to the event, projects and groups from across the City put together displays that were representative of their activities; the combined displays formed an overall picture of local community work on the drugs crisis. In addition to over 40 display panels demonstrating visually the work and creativity of local drug projects and groups, a timeline of significant events over the past 10 years for local groups was compiled.

A video spliced by Sharon and featuring projects from Tallaght, Dublin North and South City was shown in the 'tent on the 10th'.

Citywide launched a review of work for the past 10 years, which was carried out by Stephen Rourke. The review gives an historical overview of the key developments of the drugs crisis over Citywide within that period. It looks at the key challenges and issues for Citywide's future work the past 10 years and outlines the main work areas and activities of and makes recommendations for the ongoing development of Citywide over the next three to five years.
