Community voices are esential in the response to drugs. The overall objective of having Community Representatives on Drug and Alcohol Task Forces is to ensure that the work of the Task Forces is based on and informed by the reality of drug use and how it impacts on communities and, the need to identify the most appropriate, relevant and timely responses for those communities.

2018: They see the addiction. They don't see us.   Stop the Stigma Campaign 

Stigma experienced by people who use drugs prevents many from seeking help and support, making it extremely difficult for people to move beyond their addiction and pushing them into further isolation and danger, according to research underpinning Ireland’s first campaign to address drug related stigma

 
2014: Citywide produced these short videos to highlight the key issues raised at the Community Campaign meeting held in October 2013
 
2014: Crime and Punishment:  in this video, contributors speak about the link between social disadvantage and community drug problems and look at  the harm done to individuals and communities by criminalising people for using drugs.
 
 
2014: Community Drug Crisis - Then & Now:  looks at how the drugs problem has affected our communities over the years and highlights some of the devastating impacts that are currently being experienced. At the same time as these problems have been developing, resources to projects in disadvantaged areas have been cut by up to 45%
 
2014: Drug Rehab Projects 
These two videos accompany the Citywide DRP consultation document  The videos include interviews with DRP project participants and projects leaders.  In the first the contributors speak of how Drug Rehabilitation Projects provide Lifelines and Value to participants.  This second video covers the support DRPs offer and the opportunities for a future for participants.
