CityWide has employed a development worker to support Regional Community Reps in carrying out their roles. Cathy Walsh provides support to RDTF community reps and helps develop regional networks by bringing people together to support each other, exchange information and to identify key policy issues and develop responses. Community Reps Network
Citywide facilitates the Taskforce Community Representatives Network by bringing people together to support each other, exchange information and to identify key policy issues and develop responses. The network meets a number of times each year to discuss issues specific to the role of community reps.
What are the Regional Drug Task Forces about?
The role of the RDFT's is to research, develop, implement and monitor a co-ordinated response to illicit drug use at regional level, based on best evidence of what is effective. RDTF's bring together organisations in the statutory and voluntary sectors to work with local community and public representatives in developing local, targeted responses to illicit drug use.
