Regional Drug Task Force Community Reps

Citywide has employed a development worker to support Regional Community Reps in carrying out their roles. Cathy Walsh comes to us with a strong background in drug rehabilitation and many years experience of working in disadvantaged areas in Dublin. Her role is to provide support to RDTF community reps and to help develop regional networks by bringing people together to support each other, exchange information and to identify key policy issues and develop responses. Cathy can be contacted here or 01 8365090

What are the Regional Drug Task Forces about?

The role of the RDFT's is to research, develop, implement and monitor a co-ordinated response to illicit drug use at regional level, based on best evidence of what is effective. RDTF's bring together organisations in the statutory and voluntary sectors to work with local community and public representatives in developing local, targeted responses to illicit drug use.

Where are the RDTF'S?

One of the key recommendations of the National Drug Strategy 2001-2008, was the establishment of the Regional Drug Task Forces throughout the Country. Listed below are the contact details for the 10 RDTF's including their catchment areas.
