Project Description
Chrysalis was set up in 1998 by a group of local residents and workers to address, and respond to drug issues within the Greater Stoneybatter area, Dublin 7. Currently Chrysalis offers a broad range of services to people, living or working in the community, affected by drug use. It consists of community-based specialised drug assessment and coordinated, care-planned treatment which includes psychotherapeutic interventions.
Core Community Drug Work
We operate a referral based (which includes self referral) client service to support drug users who live and work in the Dublin 7 area. They can access the following:

- Key Working with Care planning
- Community Detox Support
- Harm Reduction
- Crisis Intervention
- Addiction Counselling / Motivational Interviewing
- Peer education workshops
- Advocacy
- Referrals
- Aftercare Group
- Women's Group
- Family Therapy
- Football Team
Specific Services to Female Sex Workers
- Outreach
- Distribution of health promotion materials
- Street safety advice
- Referrals to specialised services
- "Ugly mugs/Dodgy punters" reporting system
Counselling/Family Therapy Service
We operate a counselling/family therapy service in the daytime and the evening time. The service is targeted at stable drug users and family members.
